Need a Space for Your Book Club in Meridian? Reserve The Book Lounge Community Room
When we opened the doors of The Book Lounge, Meridian's independent fiction bookstore, we had a simple wish: to build more than a place to buy books. We wanted a place where readers find each other. A fiction-only shop is its own kind of promise — that whatever you're in the mood for, whether it's a sweeping family saga, a locked-room mystery, or a love story that wrecks you in the best way, there's a shelf here with your name on it. And the best part of stories has always been sharing them.
That's exactly why we built our community room — a reservable event space in the heart of Meridian, Idaho, made for the people who love to gather around a good book.
A Room Made for Readers
Tucked just off the main floor, our community room is a cozy, flexible space you can reserve for whatever brings book people together. It's a popular spot for:
Book clubs looking for a comfortable home base each month
Author meet-ups, readings, and writing groups
Small celebrations — birthdays, retirements, or a launch party for a local writer
Workshops, study sessions, and community gatherings of all kinds
Whether you're a long-running book club in search of a new spot or a few friends who've been meaning to start one, the room is yours to make your own. Bring your current read, your hot takes, and maybe a friend who still needs convincing that the book was better than the movie.
Booking Is Easy — and It's Online
Here's the good news: you don't have to call, email, or catch us between customers to reserve the community room. We've made it simple to book online whenever inspiration strikes. Just head to our website and click the “Reserve Our Community Room” link to open our scheduling page. You'll see available dates and times, pick the slot that works for your group, and lock it in — all in a couple of minutes. You'll get a confirmation once your reservation is set, so you can spend less time coordinating and more time arguing about plot twists.
Good to Know Before You Book
A few simple house rules keep the room available and welcoming for every group in our community:
Booking length
Each reservation is a 2-hour session — plenty of time to settle in, dig into the discussion, and browse the shelves before or after.
Per-person minimum
We ask for a $5 minimum purchase per person on food, beverages, or books during your visit. It's an easy way to enjoy a treat or take home your next read while supporting your local bookstore.
Booking Details
We ask that you include your Book Club Name and number of attendees so we can ensure we have appropriate staffing and seating ready to go for your arrival.
No-show fee
If a reservation isn't canceled and no one arrives, a $25 no-show fee applies. Plans change — just let us know ahead of time and we'll happily help you reschedule.
That's it. Reserve your 2-hour block, grab a coffee and a book, and the space is yours.
Let's Fill This Room With Stories
A bookstore is only as alive as the community around it, and we'd love for the community room to become one of Meridian's favorite gathering spots for readers. So pick your next title, round up your people, and book a date. We'll have the shelves stocked and the space ready.
